Our office is one of the only offices in the area that possesses a CT scanner to service our patients. CT scans are a 3D picture of your dentition. They provide extensive information relating to bone & teeth, and in some instance provide a better visual, meaning a better diagnosis.
With these scans, an oral surgeon specialist can obtain more information about your teeth, bone and even soft tissues. This allows for better accuracy because they are able to look at a 3D model instead of a traditional x-ray.
The doctor is able to explore vividly a picture of your jaw and therefore have more information about vital tissues. This enhances the standard of the care.
